My work as a Trustee takes me throughout our District and community and reflects my dedication to this role and my commitment to school success.
Board and District Leadership
District Direction
Alongside Superintendent Becker, our board worked with leadership professionals to define the district’s direction, setting clear expectations that guide our decisions and help effectively manage the district.
Board Meetings
I attend bi-monthly board meetings, preparing thoroughly to make informed decisions on policies, budgets, and other critical issues. We also celebrate the achievements of our teachers, students, and staff.
Trustee Member on the Curriculum & Instruction Leadership Team (CILT)
I attend CILT meetings to observe discussions on curriculum and educational practices, ensuring I'm well-informed and confident in the programs offered by the district.
Athletic’s Liaison from the Board
As the Board’s liaison, I meet with Athletic Directors to discuss support and future improvements for athletics, which are a vital part of our district’s educational system.
Community Engagement and Recognition
School Site Visits
Visiting campuses is a highlight of my role, as I get to observe our excellent teachers in action and participate in various school events, learning about each school’s unique strengths and challenges.
Community Conversations
I value conversations with parents and residents, as they provide unique perspectives and foster respectful, insightful discussions that help shape our community’s public education.
Relationship Building with Our Teacher’s Union
Building and maintaining a positive relationship with our teacher's union is important to me. I value the union representative’s contributions at board meetings and look forward to our next opportunity to brainstorm together.

I was honored to attend this reception celebrating RJUHSD's classified and certificated employees who were recognized for their professional excellence.
Crystal Apple Awards
I attended this event to celebrate three RJUHSD teachers who were recognized by students from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for their inspirational teaching.
State of the City Address
It was a delight to attend this event, hear the goals of our mayor, and connect with our area leaders.
